Spanish Learning Programme for beginners
It should be noted in advance that our courses are adapted to the characteristics of the student. For this reason, we follow some guidelines which are detailed below.
This course is focused to two types of students according to the Instituto Cervantes criteria:
- A person who does not speak anything in Spanish.
- A person who knows just some words in Spanish.
Therefore, this course is focused to build an introduction to the Spanish language in a practical and efficient way, considering such beginning as an essential step when learning Spanish. Thus, the techniques, methods andstrategies used during this course differ from other course levels.
STRUCTURE OF SPANISH COURSE (BEGINNER)
PHASE 1: ANALYSIS OF STUDENT NEEDS
During this phase, we determine which main objectives the student may have to learn Spanish. Furthermore, we take into account their personal characteristics such as language skills, languages spoken, age, etc.
Therefore, this phase is based on:
– Setting objectives and needs
– Study skills and student characteristics
– Analysis of the properly methodology
PHASE 2: ASSESING THE STUDENT LEVEL
The second step is to assess the student’s level of Spanish. Since this is a course for beginners, the student is unlikely to unknown the Spanish language. In this case, we evaluate their skills and overall language skills.
The steps are:
– An evaluation test to measure the baseline level
– Analysis of the language skills
PHASE 3: DEVELOPING A PROGRAM
During this phase we establish the guidelines to be followed during the course.
Basically, this step is based on:
– Preparing the agenda
– Establishing the required methodology to achieve the objectives
PHASE 4: IMPLEMENTATION
This phase involves the completion of the course itself. Therefore, it is the most important phase.
